Back to the dungeon!

On the way, we discover a Vista in the mountains. From it, we can see some ruins to the northeast (one hex away). Also a giant sandworm thing playing in the next hex north.

We decide to check out the ruins instead of going back to the dungeon.

On the way, we discover a cave. Zombies start wandering out. We start killing them. More zombies keep coming out. It's like a cornucopia of zombies. Eventually they are all dead. Minor wounds. And loot!

We continue searching for the ruins, and come across a mudhole with some giant ticks hanging around. There is a chest half buried in the mud hole. So of course we take them on. Dukac tries to intimidate them, but they don't seem to care.

He and lizardbro (I can never remember the Thrassian's name) both get jabbed and succed. Ick.

Dikac falls! As he lies there dying, he dreams of 70 elven maidens welcoming him into the afterlife (he is the most racist dorf in the world after all). Then the elf druidbro tends to his wounds and he recovers with 1 hp (rolled at +15 on mortal wounds and got a 31). The ticks are all mopped up by this time though. Sad. Many such cases.

One of the elfbros overcast 3 times that day and didn't blow up. Based as hell.

The loot is phat though. Back to town. XP and gold assigned. Dukac comes down with the fever (tick disease), but gets it cured at the temple.

Dukac once again hires the human harlots to wear fake elf ears and feed him grapes from between their tits (profligate spending for XP reserve). But in thanks to his elfbro for all the heals, he sends half of them to elfbro's room. Dukac is certain that his elfbro will be most pleased with this gesture!

During downtime, Dukac continues training Riding (9/60).

New 1:1 ACKS2e campaign started today. All new level 1 fresh meat. Only 6 players this time; we lost 2 or 3 when the DM decided to reboot the campaign. This one is set in the near east pre-islam.

We each rolled up 3 dudes to swap in and out as 1:1 time requires. I rolled a Dwarven Fury (basically a barbarian who can't wear armor but has damage reduction), a Dwarven Craftpriest (casts divine spells but like a M-U), and a Dwarven Tombsealer (fighter combat progression and equipment, ability to turn undead, and an at-will ability that works kinda like Hold Portal; not exactly dorf-paladin but somewhat analogous).

Started out with the Fury. Heard a rumor of some beastmen nearby and started hexcrawling. Ran across some dead guys. Followed their tracks, and came upon some escaped slaves who were hostile. Butchered them all (there was a bounty per each hand, so yanno). Followed their tracks back to their camp outside a dungeon entrance.

Lotta skeles in the dungeon. Usual tactic of beserkergang charges, preferably flanking. Took one decent hit, but that's truck driving. M-U got ganked, but didn't roll too bad on mortal wounds and will recover. Other M-U gigachad muscle-wizarded once out of spells and killed 2 or 3 with his staff. Lel. Threat level low, risk minor. Probably a feint, because this guy can be a killer DM. Looking forward to seeing what kind of complete and utter death springs up next week.

Outta dungerooni, back to town, sell the loot, get XP, downtime activities until next week. Dukac the Dorfen Fury spending the rest of the week training riding proficiency and hiring elven harlots to feed him grapes from between their bosoms (profligate spending XP bank). He's the 'most racist dwarf alive' meme, see.

I know, I know. Low level play reports are boring as shit. But it's kinda refreshing to get back to basics sometimes. Dude gets tired of the campaign he's running and starts a new one every time just before we hit name level though lol. This is #4 I think. That's cool though. I kinda like the mudcore play style tbh.

Only thing I know for sure is, man it's good to be playing a frontliner again. Spend most of the last campaign playing a Wonderworker (cleric/mu without any armor or weapon profs) and it was a cool character and all but I was getting tired of not being out in the shit.
